Let's Crack it Up! : BTS (Bangtan Boys) O! RUL8, 2? Album

Hi!
This is my very first post for this blog.

And now I'm gonna reveal the basic meanings of BTS's Mini Album 'O! RUL8, 2?' (ARMY's are you there? haha)

Okay! So, before we start to those who have no idea about who BTS is, I'll give you a short description about them :
Here we go! BTS aka Bangtan Boys (방탄소년단). They looked totally awesome in white lol!

BTS is a hip-hop boy group formed by Big Hit Entertainment. .This group consist of 7 members ; Rap Monster (Leader, Rapper), Jin (Vocal, Visual of the Group), Suga (Rapper), J-Hope (Rapper, Dancer), Jimin (Vocalist, Dancer), V (Vocalist), and Jungkook (Maknae, Dancer, Raper, Vocalist). They debuted on June 12th, 2013 with the title "No More Dream".

I think that's enough info about them. Now let's check out the track list fot the album first.

There are 10 tracks all combined with the title track N.O. I've heard all of the songs above and for me it's all great!

1. INTRO: O!RUL8, 2?
Basically this 1:11 minute length song is Rap Monster's part. At first he give somekind of narration and it's in english so dont worry haha. And after a few seconds of narrations it continues with rap which the meaning of it is actually telling about the 'importance' of living your life to the fullest.

2. N.O
This is the Title Track of this Mini Album. This song telling about the hardship of students who feels their life frustrating because of the pressure from adults (this is my way to interpret this song). Plus the music video already tells it all (you can check it here), In the MV, in the first minute they're all act to be a soul-less students in a somekind of 'isolated' and they're controlled by a mastermind (I don't know how to describe this person, it's the one with red thingy on his head hehe).

3. WE ON
I have 2 favorite songs in this mini album and one of them is WE ON. This song tells about how BTS's members feels about those who ignore and scold them at first but then try to get notice by the members after their debut in KPOP Industry (we can call these person as hypocrite). Well, they also express their feelings toward their haters here and I just love it! To those who have the same feeling, you should check out this track, I'm telling you it's catchy.

4. Skit: R U Happy Now?
Like the title, it's a skit! if you already heard BTS's Debut Album, they also included this kind of track with BTS members voices inside their recording room.

5. If I Ruled The World
The title already tells it all haha. It's about what a person would do if he have the world by his arms. I like the part with "Everybody say he-o-e-oh-oh!" and "Everybody say hey, ho! Hey-hey-ho!" (it's Jin's part i think?).

6. Coffee
This is one of my favorite track beside WE ON. It tells about the bitterness after the separations with the loved-ones that tasted like a Coffee. The separation in this song is actually like a true story of Korean Idols who can't keep in touch with their special person because of their busy schedule and in the end they have no choice but to end the relationship. In conclusion, it's not always a good thing to be an idol (yeah......).

7. BTS - Cypher Part. 1
This track is a full-rap song by BTS's Rappers Rap Monster, Suga, and J-Hope. It has a quite similar meaning with WE ON but more 'intense'. They tried to express their thought of becoming the next rising hip-hop group and proved it to people who looked down on them.

8. 진격의 방탄 (The Rise of Bangtan)
The Rise Of Bangtan~ this song is quite up-beat and fun to listen to especially the chorus part. It tells about the Confidence of Bangtan throughout their whole journey since debut with 'No More Dream'.

9. 팔도강산 (Satoori Rap)
This track is also a full-rap by Rap Monster, Suga, and J-Hope but this one is quite special. Why? because they did it with local dialect or in Korea called Satoori. Since Rap Monster is pure Seoul boy, Suga from Daegu Province, and J-Hope from Gwangju they combined their local dialect into a single epic song and whaaam~! This song also caused a sensation because they already released it as their pre-debut song and because of it's uniqueness of the combination between rap and dialect that never been done before.

10. OUTRO: LUV IN SKOOL
Last but not least, the Outro. It's actually combinations of a few tracks but if you see the translations it's about a person who still can't believe his break-up with someone he loves and it feels like a dream. It's only 1:26 long, and yeah... it's an Outro after all.

So! I've already reveal each and every meanings of the 10 track in BTS's Mini Album 'O! RUL8, 2?'. Hope you like it and do give me some comments or feedbacks, I'll appreciate it a lot ^^

I'll be back with more update soon! ^^

Nice breakdown of the songs! I liked it. But, it would be a lot more interesting if you went a little bit deeper in every song, and perhaps more about the overall story.
